Emergency Management Plan

 

OVERVIEW

The University’s Emergency Management Plan (EMP) is the result of the efforts of the Emergency Management Team. The Team was appointed by the President's Office to examine the emergency preparedness on the campus of Texas A&M University-Kingsville. 

The goals of the Team are as follows:

To coordinate the university's response to emergencies involving students while paying special attention to the safety and security needs of all members of the university community;

To offer counseling, guidance, and appropriate support to members of the university community and their families;

To use emergencies, when appropriate, as teachable experiences to enhance the quality of life for all those touched by an emergency.

The Team will make every effort to accomplish these goals when dealing with an emergency situation on campus.
